The Moron Brothers Hilarious Act Added to Festival Line-up

Posted 27th June 2007, late afternoon

The Moron Brothers, Bluegrass' funniest singing duo, will be performing at The Acoustic Roots Bluegrass Festival at Spicer's Lake in South Lebanon, OH on July 21.
Mike Carr, and Mike Hammonds, also known respectively as Lardo and Burley Moron recently appeared at the Grand Ole Opry, performing their hit, "If My Nose Was Runnin' Money, I'd Blow It All on You."

Bluegrass fans know The Moron Brothers for their hilarious songs and musical antics.

"We feel that there is enough sickness, sadness and grief in the world today and the good Lord means for people to have good, clean fun and laughter. Maybe that is the job he chose us to do. We hope so, 'cause it is fun for us also," said Carr, aka Lardo.

The Acoustic Roots Bluegrass Festival runs July 21-22, 2007. A two-day pass is $30 and includes free primitive camping on the beautiful wooded grounds bordering the Little Miami State and National Scenic River. The festival grounds are situated in the heart of South Lebanon, OH, conveniently located near I-71 and SR 48.

The 10-acre Spicer's Lake presents a peaceful backdrop to the festival amidst the 60-acres of meadow and wooded areas.

Rounding out the musical schedule on Saturday are Vernon McIntyre's Appalachian Grass, the New Grass Boys, Tim Strong and Kentucky Ridge, and the Friends in Bluegrass. Sunday will feature gospel music by the Haddix Family, PineRidge, and Herchel Haddix and Mountain High.

There will be a "Split the Pot" drawing on both days. Saturday's "Split the Pot" will benefit The Union Township/South Lebanon Fire Department. Sunday's drawing will benefit the ministry of each performing bands.

Details: $30 Two-day pass, $20 Saturday, $12 Sunday (children under 12 years of age admitted free with paying adult). Free primitive camping with two-day pass.
